2010 Sand Volleyball Tryouts
Welcome to the 2010 Sand Volleyball season! We are so excited for our first year as a Sand Volleyball Club.
Following, please find the tryout information. We look forward to seeing you!
- Cost $30
- Please make checks out to Main Beach Volleyball Club
This includes your 1 year membership to the CBVAIf you have already registered with the CBVA and are a current member, then there
will be a $10 tryout fee. - To be considered for any of the 3 divisions of the Sand Volleyball Club you must
attend one of the tryouts. - The 3 divisions are as follows:"
1) Sand Dabs - This for players who have indoor volleyball skills, but have yet
to make the transition yet to play doubles in the sand. You must know how
to play volleyball.
2) Sand Sharks - This division will be divided into intermediate and advanced.
This is for players who have sufficient mastery of all the aspects of
the volleyball skills needed to play doubles in the sand and who have
had previous experience in sand volleyball tournaments or have played
doubles beach volleyball before. - Tryout Dates:
Thursday May 6
Sand Dabs - 5:00 PM - 7:00 PMFriday May 7
Sand Sharks - 5:00 PM - 7:00 PMSunday May 16
Both divisions - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Location: The beach courts at Rio Del Mar Beach
Required Paperwork:
1) CBVA Membership form - this can be done on-line at www.cbva.com or
you can fill out the paperwork on the day of tryouts where a parent will have
to be present to sign the forms.
If you pre-register on-line, please bring your receipt and your coupon for
your CBVA T-shirt.
2) Player information sheet (if you are not already playing with a Main Beach
indoor team). This can be downloaded from our Main Page.
