Board of Directors

terriTerri Mayall

I’ve been involved with both indoor and sand volleyball for approximately 40 years. Because I find this sport so captivating and enjoyable, it has brought me to many levels of participation and promotion. I was a referee for girls and boys high school volleyball, so I have a clear perspective of these matters. I’ve also coached girl's club and high school teams. Coaching has been a gratifying adventure for me, particularly seeing young girls grow, both personally and athletically. I believe in staying focused on the big picture and the goals of the club, the teams and the girls. I’m married with 2 daughters: Sabra, 27 and Tess, 22 which have played high school and club volleyball. Currently, I continue to play on the beach. My perspective is unique having been involved in many different aspects of volleyball. I enjoy serving the Main Beach Volleyball Board of Directors with enthusiasm and critical thinking.

Wendy Grande

I have been a volleyball parent for my daughter from Junior High through College with Regional Club Teams and Traveling Club Teams.  When Main Beach started up - it was the club of choice for our daughter Lorel Grande.  I have enjoyed all that volleyball has to give to the players: teaching teamwork, life skills and volleyball skills; and the comradery with the parents.  Working with the Main Beach Directors is a great chance for me to give back to this great club and sport which has given so much to our girls.

Karen Sambrailo

My daughter played Main Beach Club volleyball for 5 years and started with the Club the first year it was in existence.  Main Beach was an important part of our daughter’s life and had a tremendous impact on where she is today.  I would like to continue to be involved in a program that has been a positive experience for so many young women of the Central Coast area.  A life- long resident of Watsonville/Aptos area, I am married to Mark Sambrailo and mother to Erik (21), Kiersten (19), and Ty (16).

Marcie Lynch

I’ve been a Physical Education teacher for 30 years (25 years at Soquel High School). I am the founder and original owner of the Santa Cruz Gymnastic Club and Co-Founder of the Gals Softball League. I have 2 daughters Teagan and Quinn who played club volleyball in the 1990’s. One received a scholarship to the University of Colorado. With my ongoing interest in providing quality athletic programs for the girls of Santa Cruz County I am proud to be a member of the Board of Directors for Main Beach Volleyball Club.
